The NSW Iris Society is 60 years old, although irises were grown in NSW from early European settlement days. There are no iris endemic to Australia - they all hail from the Northern hemisphere, their species ranging from desert to steamy swampland. Their diversity means that wherever we live there are iris that can be enjoyed.

The Society is made up of iris enthusiasts, from world class hybridisers to folk who are just discovering the world of iris and everyone in between.
